Senior Test Engineer

POSITION SUMMARY
1. Lead the design and implementation of large scale Test Engineering projects through good project management, leadership, and mentorship skills.  
2. Lead innovation projects and technology growth through use of software tools and advance hardware design to support lean manufacturing, cycle time reductions, and over all through put advances for all company and our supplier products.  
3. Drive and lead group strategies to meet all business and CMS, Quality, and customer objectives.  4. Direct technical team’s work load, manage back log, and set priorities for work flow through
  the department.  
5. Minimum of a Bachelors degree in Engineering is required.  
6. Experience with SPC (6-Sigma) controls, problem solving methodologies, and a Masters degree in Engineering or Business is recommended.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1 .Candidate must be able to design test equipment from concept to complete global roll out to the manufacturing floor.  
2. Associate will be required to interface, provide feed back, and report project status to Senior Management.  
3. Software programming methodologies, system architecture, and network structures are a primary function of this job.  
4. Object oriented software programming, .dll applications, multi-language support, .ini file usage, and Multi-threaded applications are required programming skills.
5. Primary software tools: Lab Windows CVI, OrCAD, XP Pro, MS Project, PDM, and SPC tools.


ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Associate will be responsible for handling material in and around work area, keeping work area and equipment clean and orderly.  
2. May instruct or train others as directed.  
3. May instruct or train others as directed on all test procedures and equipment usage.

Job Responsibilities:
- Provide suppliers with product test equipment such as ICT/FCT for PCBA’s, configuration and functional testers for cassettes and so forth.
- Provide subassembly and module testing to support a “quality at the source” control plan strategy within Diebold plants
- Establish and provide global ESD practices, training and periodic audits.
- Calibration and preventative maintenance of all test and associated tooling.
- Audit manufacturing plants to test equipment standards and practices.
- Generate capacity charts for supplier and production areas per equipment.
- Maintain and support regional capacity growths of all test and associated equipment.
- Ensure commonality and consistency between all globally produced products.
- Coordinate Test Instruction updates with Documentation group
- Provide final terminal configuration validation and functional testing.
- Provide software loading process for all customer solutions.
- Provide process for customer application validation prior to terminal shipment.
- Provide qualified back-up media for field-used applications.

Job requirements:
- Degree in Engineering (Double E preferred)
- 5+ years working experience on PCBA testing equipment and program design
- Good knowledge of PCBA.
- Excellent bi-lingual (Chinese & English) written and verbal communication skills required
