Description:

As a QA Engineer you will be part of a motivated engineering team that is responsible for the ensuring the quality of the QualysGuard on demand security service. This opening is your chance to work in the rapidly expanding field of computer security, in a pre-IPO company with excellent customer ratings and outstanding growth rates.

Responsibilities

The Vulnerability Signature QA Engineer will test leading-edge network security and supporting services specifically for Vulnerability Assessments. Candidate will run functional and automated regression testing on a very short timeline. The candidate will test vulnerability signatures and ensure accurate and consistent functionality on a wide variety of Operating Systems and network devices and detect any false positive and false negatives. Candidate will conduct white-box testing, run daily test procedures and develop new and enhance existing automation scripts. The Vulnerability Signature QA Engineer will reproduce, isolate and document faults, and perform root cause investigation for bug analysis.

Qualifications:

* Bachelors degree with at least 3 years experience in Development or QA process and methodology.

* At least 1 year of vulnerability assessment experience.

* Solid networking protocol knowledge and use of VMware virtualization infrastructure.

* Development or QA testing experience on Linux and Windows systems.

* Experience with vulnerability assessment tools like nessus, port scanners like nmap.

* Recent programming/scripting experience with one or more of C, perl, or bash required.

* Knowledge of relational databases - Oracle 9i and above.

* Must be a critical thinker with excellent verbal and written skills.

* Self-starter, team player, highly reliable, consistent and organized.

* Fluent in both English & Chinese

Additional Plus Competencies

* Sysadmin skills, patch installation and patch management experience for Linux/Unix and Windows systems.

* Knowledage and use of a packet sniffers such as wireshark, ethereal, tcpdump

* Network and system connectivity troubleshooting

* Fluent in English
