SW QA Sr. Manager

Position Summary:
An American Semiconductor company is looking for a software Quality Assurance Senior Manager to lead their team in Beijing.

The ideal candidate has 5 to 10 years management experience in the Quality Assurance domain, with both management and technical skills, communicates effectively, and is fluent in English.

The candidate will supervise a team of 10+ QA engineers, both black box and grey box testers. The candidate must be process oriented, and must be able to supervise many concurrent projects, adequately interface with the development team and be able to prioritize activities.

The position requires to be able to clearly communicate test results, in a concise and effective manner as well as being able to make judgment call on the quality of company’s products based on facts and current development stage.

As a manager, you will be responsible of all aspects related to the Quality assurance and configuration management of company's Professional Broadcast encoders, decoders, and transcoders.

Skills and Qualifications:
o        Solid real-time embedded firmware and software testing background
o        Emphasis on testing methodology
o        Process oriented
o        High quality standards
o        Innovative and resourceful
o        Good analytical and decisional skills
o        Independent work ethic to bring tasks to completion
o        C/C++, scripting (Perl, Python, Ruby) background
o        Capable of understand complex system architecture
o        Knowledge of real-time operating systems
o        Recognized as both a management and technical leader by its peers and direct reports
o        Excellent written and verbal communication in English
o        5 to 10 years of experience in managing a QA team

Assets:
o        Experience with consumer and broadcast video products.
o        Signal processing, including audio/video processing and/or compression
