Quality Engineering - Kernel (VM/Proc)
职位描述/要求：
The Quality Engineering team at Red Hat is looking for engineers to search for, analyze, report, track defects and verify bug fixes in the Linux kernel. This position will primarily focus on testing and verifying proper operation of the virtual memory management and process management subsystems of the linux kernel. Responsibilities include writing test programs to excercise specific areas of the virtual memory management and process management subsystems of the linux kernel, developing test scripts for automated testing, executing test cases, debugging software problems, and operating automated test tools.
Job Requirements:
•        College degree in a technical field and/or relevant experience
•        Strong skills and background in Linux.
•        Strong debugging, troubleshooting, analytical skills.
•        Familiarity with shell (primarily bash), Python, Perl and other commonly used programming/scripting languages.
•        Intermediate to advanced C programming skills with a focus on operating systems programming or testing.
•        Familiar with a wide variety of components of Operating Systems (Kernels specifically).
•        Some fluency in written and spoken English.
•        Self-starter, able to learn new skills on your own.
•        Strong passion and desire for testing and examining how things work internally.

The Quality Engineering team at Red Hat is looking for engineers to search for, analyze, report, and track defects in Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Responsibilities include developing test scripts, executing test cases, debugging software problems and operating automated test tools in testing the Linux kernel.
Requirements
•        Good knowledge of Linux installations, applying patches and building kernels
•        Experience with stress, performance and regression testing
•        Familiar with a wide variety of components of the OS (Kernel specifically)
•        Scripting skills in bash, perl, or python and strong analytical skills
•        Hardware knowledge of x86 x86_64 and IA64 platforms
•        Knowledge of IBM s390/s390x(zSeries), ppc(pSeries,iSeries) is desirable
•        Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written)
