The Company
Autospaces is a Los Angeles, California-based software and services provider in the area of
automotive financial services. Established in 1999, the company’s mission is to enable financial services firms with collaborative tools to facilitate all aspects of loan underwriting and servicing.

Autospaces’ main product is DataWiki, a collaborative decision support and workflow portal that empowers financial services employees with active reports, workflow, and continuous, real-time data mining. Autospaces is also a leading vendor of automotive dealership software, including inventory management, CRM, Web portal construction, and point-of-sale support.

The Opportunity
If you’re a person of unbounded curiosity, a responsible individual, and are interested in kicking your programming skills up a notch, then we’d like to hear from you. We are currently looking for an outstanding software engineer to help expand our product development efforts. The engineer will work directly with senior management on all aspects of product development. We are willing to train the right candidate on most aspects of our product, and this opportunity has the potential to grow into a leading technical position at the company.

Requirements
Bachelors degree in computer science. Masters degree or higher preferred. The candidate should have sufficient computer science background to rapidly learn new programming languages and techniques. Several years of experience working in a commercial software development environment is preferred, and/or demonstrable experience with open-source projects.

Programming Languages and Techniques
• Java, or other object-oriented languages, some background in functional programming
• Knowledge of the Scala language or ActionScript/Flex are big plusses
• Experience with relational databases, DB2, data warehousing, object-relational mapping
tools, such as Hibernate.
