Responsibilities
Drive the overall strategy and execution of the division. He/she will manage the operations (with full P&L responsibility) for the division. He/she will provide a vision for the division development strategy and lead regional team in a growing and evolving industry. Accountabilities include establishment of divisional goals and operating strategy for business development, project management, resource planning, delivery quality & process management, customer relationship retain and financial management. This is a key role in PGS operating structure with a direct reporting relationship to head of PGS.
Provide strategic vision for the division:
Improve product globalization process to form a more mature competency in globalization project management with standardization.
Identify new marketing opportunities for hiSoft to grow globalization customer base and increase upsell business.
Lead and manage the team:
Coach, train, challenge, empower and motivate current offshore/on-site team. Facilitate regular and effective communication among teams of the division. Help team leaders with hiring and thinking through organizational structure as changes to the business/people occur.
Inspire project managers and help standardize delivery process, quality & execution.
Serve as member of PGS leadership team, providing insight into PGS leadership team to grow offshore business.
Meet customers and attend regular delivery conference call with clients
Maintain and increase company credibility through Voice of Customer (VoC) evaluation.
Define KPI (Key Performance Indicator) for direct report team members and conduct regular performance appraisal.
Manage financial performance of the division:
Manage all lines on the P&L, with in depth understanding of the financial levers to grow the business profitably.
Support purchasing/planning functions to ensure division has correct level of product assortment and inventory levels.
Develop budget and forecast for the division
Requirements:
Management: Business planning; resource allocation and prioritization; long term planning; presentations (external and internal).
Financial Management: P&L management; budget development and management; contingency planning for additional spending and cost cutting.
Strategic Planning: Ability to conceptualize and execute a departmental vision. Issue identification and action plan development. Both tangible and non-tangible objectives.
People Management: Ability to manage talent with diverse skill sets, cultures and conflicting agendas. Succession planning skills (as the division has experienced rapid growth).
Project Management: Ability to manage globalization testing project in early stage of engagement. Sophisticated project planning, schedule management and risk management capability.
Technical Management: Ability to learn new technology and apply technology innovation into solution to facilitate business growth.
