Job Description – Test Engineer
Job Type: Permanent
Category: Global Delivery & Shared Service Center
Location: KunShan (Hua Qiao)
Responsibilities:
Understand the functionality related to an allotted module/project.
Create functional test conditions and cases / Automation scripts and Preparing Test Bed/Test Data for execution
Conduct reviews
Test Execution (manual/ automated) for an allocated unit as per standards.
Test execution
Analyze the available test artifacts required for test execution
Maintain Test Execution logs
Defect reporting and tracking
Log Individual issues and downtime
Use utilities and tools to support testing
Adhere to quality standards/process and time schedules provided

Create and maintain repository of automated test scripts, test suites (if required)
Maintain data pool (test bed) for automated tests (if required)"
Qualification:
Basic Testing Concepts (SDLC, STLC, Testing Techniques, Types and Levels of Testing, Defect Lifecycle, Traceability Matrix)
Basic Knowledge on Platforms like Windows / Unix / Mainframes / Midrange/Web-based applications
Knowledge of any Test Execution Tool for Automation
Good Communication Skills
Experience in creating testware (e.g. Test Scenarios, Test Cases, Test Data)
Experience in executing test cases
Experience in test reporting and defect reporting
Experience in Test Management tool (e.g. Test Director/Quality Center, JIRA, Rational Quality Manager/Test Manager)

Carry out requirement analysis and seeks clarifications
Define test case writing methodology and techniques
Assist in Scoping, Estimation, Test Strategy and Test Planning
Ensure Test Methodology/Approach Compliance
Create and Review of functional test cases
Prepare Test Bed /Test Data for execution
Ascertain and analyze the test environment readiness
Test Execution
Defect reporting, management and tracking and analysis
Query Log reporting and tracking
Attend calls and query resolution
Review and Report the work delivered by Test Engineers.
Adhere to quality standards/process and time schedules provided.
Monitor day to day test planning & execution progress
Review and Guide Test Executors / Test engineers in test execution/preparation.
Provide trainings on domain and testing concepts
Help in process audits / certifications
Configuration Management"
Qualification:
