Software Engineer - MSC 3
Location: SHANGHAI

Qualification:
Education - BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Work Experience –
-A minimum of 5 years proven software development experience, mainly in the communications industry.
-Must be experienced in Object-Oriented Design Techniques.
-C++ programming language and Solaris/UNIX operating system.
-Multi-threaded Application Design.
-Knowledge of TCP/IP, SIP, H.323, MEGACO and SNMP.
-Knowledge of test equipment such as INET/Spectra and MGTS helpful.
-Must have excellent written and oral communication skills as well as system design and technical project leadership skills.

Job Description:
Responsibilities will include:
-Providing subject matter expertise and technical leadership on development of Media Gateway and other product simulators.
-Coordinating with other lead engineers and managers on an overall product design and implementation of product simulators.
-Technical coordination for the purpose of defining and understanding product requirements, planning development, and demonstrating product operation to customers internal to Tekelec.

Test Engineer - MSFI
Location: SHANGHAI

Job Description:
Responsible for integration support for a 3rd party wireless softswitch to the T8000 Wireless Media Gateway, and then 24x7 customer Tier 3 technical support as the products are deployed. The individual will work directly with the 3rd party wireless softswitch vendor to integrate the T8000 Wireless Media Gateway with their product. The individual will then work with the Tekelec Customer Support organization to provide support for deployed systems. The individual will be responsible for system recovery (field systems), investigating issues, providing information about confirmed problems to the development organization in Plano, verifying fixes and performing regression tests of new T8000 Wireless Media Gateway releases. Testing new features in the Wireless Media Gateway may be added as the team develops.

Individual must be willing to work in USA for extended periods of time for training. The initial training period is expected to be 6 months, with periodic refresher training as new capabilities are added to the product.

Individual must be willing to provide after-hours support on a rotating basis and be willing to make emergency trips to site for customer support (within China or other countries).

Summary of Qualifications:
Requires BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent and a minimum of 3 years software development/test experience, preferably in the wireless telecommunications industry. Fluency for written and read English is required.

Applicant must be capable of unsupervised work and must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work in a team environment.

Knowledge and/or experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred:
- GSM
- UMTS (Iu, Nb and Mc interfaces)
- CDMA (or SCDMA)

Qualifications:

BSEE with 4+ years, or MSEE with 2+ years of related hand-on job experience;
Major of Communication technology or Computer engineering;
Hand-on design experience of using PowerPC 405 or Power 603e/7XX/7XXX CPU;
Hand-on design experience of using SDRAM, Ethernet and RS-232, etc;
Hand-on design experience of using VHDL for Xilinx/Altera FPGA/CPLD devices;
Hand-on design experience with OrCAD Capture/CIS;
Hand-on design experience of using Marvell Discovery family controllers is preferred;

Hardware Support Engineer

Work with hardware design team on Lab support, prototype component kitting, Contract Manufacturing coordination, SMT circuit board rework, as well as circuit board testing.

Qualifications:

-BSEE with 4+ years, or Associate with 8+ years, of related hand-on job experience;
-Familiar with circuit board development process;

BSEE with 2+ years, or MSEE with 1+ years, of related hand-on job experience;
Major of VLSI Test Technology or Computer engineering;
Hand-on experience of using C/C++/Access;
Hand-on experience of designing and debugging medium/complex circuit boards;
Familiar with Boundary Scan JTAG (IEEE 1149.1) standard and hand-on experience of using IEEE 1149.1-based tools;
Hand-on experience of In-System-Programming Technology;
Hand-on experience of using Flash Memory, FPGA and CPLD;
Hand-on design experience with OrCAD Capture/CIS;
Good English in writing and speaking.

FPGA Design Engineer

Hand-on experience of designing FPGA with Verilog is a plus;
Hand-on experience of designing complex circuit boards;
Familiar with PCI bus, TDM, Utopia and MII/GMII Interfaces;

Firmware/DSP Engineer
