EMS Developer
Required Skills:
* Strong software design and development skills
* Good communications skills
* Object oriented analysis, design, architecture methodology
* Client-server architecture
* JAVA programming
* UNIX experience and some Scripting knowledge
* SQL/JDBC/ODBC, SNMP

Preferred Skills:
* Telecommunication management system (EMS/NMS) related software development experience
* General telephony expertise including circuit and packet switching, TDM, IP, and ATM
* Test Automation Tools
* Command Line Interfaces (CLI)
* Back-office Integration
* XML
* Specific telephony knowledge: call processing, soft switching, common signal protocols (SS7, C7), etc
* IETF/BellCore/ATM Forum standards

* CORBA knowledge and CORBA interface development experience

Education and Experience:
* Bachelors/Masters Computer Science/Engineering
* 4+ years relevant experience

Education:

BS/MS in EE/CS or equivalent

Skill Requirements:

3+ years of development engineering experience in telecommunications is required

Strong understanding and experience with formal software development processes is required

Strong experience in RTOS(pSOS, VxWorks, etc.), UNIX, and C/C++ is required

1+ years of hands-on development experience with the following telephony standards and protocols: MTP2/MTP3

Experience in developing high availability systems is required

Formal development environment experience (source code management, bug and problem tracking, release packaging and load building) is required

Good written/orial English is required

Understanding of MEGACO, RTP, MTP3b/SSCOP/ALCAP protocols is highly desired

Understanding of VoIP technologies, network architecture and related applications is desired

Understanding of other SS7 related protocols, e.g. ISUP/SCCP/RANAP/BSSAP/TCAP is desired

Understanding of other SIGTRAN protocols, e.g. M2UA/M2PA/SUA is desired
