我搭建的是cvsnt2.042+wincvs1.3的组合。

在草稿状态不断修改完成后，现在我想把模块的目录里的文件都统一成2.0版本，里面文件的最高版本只是1.8。但是不成功。提示错误如下：
cvs commit -m "no message" -r 2.0 (in directory D:\work\qybkDIR\add\)
cvs commit: Examining .

我又在另外一个目录中试了一下，提示错误是：

cvs不允许手工设置版本号，都是自动生成的，很显然你的2.0版本在服务器没有

不允许手工操作。  提供一下你现在的版本号。好像现在的版本为了安全不允许认为操作

那为什么，帮助文档中都是介绍可以进行统一版本的操作呢？

是啊，同问，在置顶的一个帖子里有文档：WinCVS从入门到精通（一到三章），第三章开头明确的写了统一版本的方法，我也按照此方法作了，提示与LZ的一样。
难道现在不能用手工方式统一版本了么？那如何统一呢？

1.在对一个文件执行remove、commit后本地文件已经删除,在服务器端并没有删除
2.在服务器端删除一个文件后,进行checkout操作后,工作目录下该文件并没有删除

cvsnt2.0.42+wincvs1.3我用着没有这个问题，具体不知道什么原因，不过你可以看有没有如下的问题：
1、有文件修改后没有上传
2、你当前的是不是服务器最新的版本
3、在提交版本之前有没有先更新下你当前的版本，去除标记
感觉如果做到了应该就可以了。

我用的是cvsnt2.5的，和wincvs1.3的，固定版本时也是失败，提示：
cvs commit: Examining .
cvs commit: Examining person1
cvs commit: Examining person2
cvs server: nothing known about `2.0'
cvs [server aborted]: correct above errors first!

请问是否2.5的也不能手工固定版本么？如果不行，那要采用那种方法呢？

报这个错是因为文件不是在同一个开发分支
检查一下提示中这几个文件的标记是否与其他未提示出来的文件的标记是否在同一个开发分支上，
