Summary: Plans, coordinates, and directs quality assurance program designed to ensure quality production of products consistent with established standards by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Leads the testing effort of the Quality Assurance team in the Shanghai office
- Works closely with the Quality Assurance Director and Quality Assurance Manager in the US
- Executes schedules, driving tasks to completion
- Create test plans that meet design specifications, report on testing cycle and help produce software that is reasonable free of defects
- Review product requirement documentation, participate in design sessions and provide stakeholders with a risk analysis for each product iteration
- Capable of mentoring software quality assurance engineers in test case design and product testing
- Communicates with developers, product managers, usability engineers and technical support specialists on product issues
- Enforces software testing standards and processes
- Uses metrics to track the quality of the product and processes
- Suggests and maintains quality procedures and systems
- Suggests items for budgets
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of one year of team lead experience in QA organizations
- You must have been a Software Tester / Quality Assurance Engineer for at least 3 to 5 years and have strong experience in developing test cases, test procedures, test scripts and test reports and doing the hands on implementation of those plans.
- Solid understanding of multi-tiered applications
- Hands on experience with Windows client and server OS, Visual Basic, C#, SOA, MS web technologies, SQL and Oracle (Toad)
- Experience in developing and implementing QA processes
- Solid working knowledge of QA Methodologies and the software development process
- Professional testing or QA certification preferred
- Proven ability to organize and lead teams
- Good English speaking and writing skills
- Good communication and decision-making skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
