本人的理解是测试的基础理论。这里应该讲的是测试先行的概念或者是在软件的整个生命周期中，早期测试的重要性。
比如QTP中Keyword－driven技术，就引进了测试先行的概念。
希望大家多参与，共同改进。

也可以理解为测试工作中的前期测试，具体情况要看工作小组怎样定义，像我们就管这种叫接收测试，作为系统测试的前期准备工作来进行，用以评估软件的质量，及是否可以实施系统测试。sdlkfj6

这里的the test basis写得不是很确切，可能不够完整，理解为"测试基础构件"更为好一些。

在系统开发开始以前，问题的及早发现的可以给后面的工作减少成本。
