MeeGo Performance Validation engineer


Description
The Open Source Technology Center (OTC) within the Intel Software and Services Group (SSG) is creating software for the next generation of mobile internet devices. OTC MeeGo validation team is looking for performance validation expert for MeeGo power and performance validation on various segment devices like Handset, Netbook, IVI and TV etc. In this position, you will get chance to work with industry Linux power and performance optimization expert and get the system view of MeeGo power and performance. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Demonstrate the ability to work with architect, product manager and technical marketing etc to understand the requirements, and define the performance indicators and create validation plan for specific vertical usage
- Create qualitative and quantitative performance workload and tool to measure the indicators.
- Be able to do deep-dive analysis for power and performance issues and drive the engineering team to resolve.
- Responsible for interfacing with other teams for MeeGo performance validation

Qualifications
You should possess a Master degree with 3 years relevant experience, or a Bachelor degree with 5 years relevant experience.
The candidate should be knowledgeable about Kernel, Linux system overall, key middleware ingredients and applications for usages like Handset and Tablet. Additional qualifications include:
- Solid development experience on Linux, good programming skill in C, C++ and QT
- Expert in shell/python/perl etc script languages
- Proven track record in analyzing and debugging critical issues on Linux
- Solid understanding of IA-32 platform architecture.
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
- Self starter who can work with minimal supervision in a team environment
