Description
In this hands-on and technical position, the individual will be responsible for ensuring the product StarCite provides meets both the functional and non-functional quality requirements. As a senior QA Engineer in StarCite Inc, the individual is expected to:

• Participate in the entire development life cycle including: requirement analysis, designing good test cases with high coverage, tracking defects with meaningful details, providing root cause analysis and impact analysis and participating code review and unit test review.
• Design unit test cases and framework, use various tools to do code coverage testing and code –level performance testing.
• Design and maintain automation/performance testing scripts.
• Creatively leverage various open source tools, or develop own testing framework to help with the function/technical testing.
• Share knowledge with peers, mentor less experienced team members.
  

Requirements
• Expert in testing methodology, test cycles, test tools, and testing methodologies
• Strong knowledge of Java programming language and project experience with relevant J2EE application servers desired.
• Proficiency in testing Web applications with comprehensive knowledge of browsers and JavaScript required.
• Extensive experience in Java unit testing using Junit/TestNG
• Expert in automated test and framework design and wide knowledge of open source testing tools (selenium is preferred)
• Detailed knowledge of HTTP protocol, client/server communications, relational database and SQL.
• Experience with capacity, Load/performance testing
• Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills a must
• A BS in Computer Science or related field.

1)      Minimum 2+ years of software development; AND minimum 4+ years of software testing
2)      Must had experience in Unit level testing.
a.       White-box testing at code level
b.      Able to write unit tests.
c.       Must be good at least one of the xUnit tests. (i.e. JUnit, CPPUnit, NUnit, etc)
3)      Must had experience in API level testing.
a.       Grey-box testing at API level
b.      Able to test modules through API interfaces
c.       Must be good at least one of the API testing tools. (i.e. SoupUI, WebDriver, etc)
4)      Must had experience in GUI level testing.
a.       Black-box testing at GUI level
b.      Able to develop UI testing
c.       Must be good at least one of the GUI testing tools. (i.e. fitness, selenium, ruby, etc)
5)      Must be good at least one of the modern programming languages. (i.e. c/c++, java, etc) (I know it’s impossible to ask one who knows and is good at all)
6)      Must had project experience in working w/ agile teams under Continuous Integration
a.       Able to identify process flaws in working models
b.      Able to come up w/ process improvement to increase working efficiency
7)      Aggressive in working style and able to drive a project independently from beginning to end.
a.       Creative and flexible in coming up w/ his/her own ideas to drive a team of people to finish a task
8)      Must be knowledgeable (not necessary expert at) of common database technologies. (i.e. oracle, DB2, SQL server, etc)
9)      Must be knowledgeable (not necessary expert at) of common OS environments. (i.e. windows, linux, unix)
10)   Knowledge on BTO product especially SM is a big plus.
