RF Test SW FAE
( Software Field Application Engineer)
Description:
You will be validating, debugging and promoting system level RF test solutions for growing WLAN, MIMO, BT, FM, GPS, NFC and WiMAX market. You will have the opportunity to work as field application support engineer to support SW automatic test solutions as R&D and production target for various chipset companies, ODM's and OEM's on a worldwide basis. You will co-work with Sales/Distributor team and LitePoint AE/RD team to approach to successful design-win and smooth volume launch/operations in customer site.
Responsibility:
l
Provide frontline, system-level technical support to customers in Greater China during all phases of customer’s product development and manufacturing;
l
Performed build, release, installation, and documentation duties to deploy testing solutions as customer need;
l
Travel to the customer site as needed to provide technical support, demonstration, debug, training, system installation and troubleshooting services, and liaison with AE and System Apps customer support resources to resolve issues;
l
Promote LitePoint solutions, and present LitePoint products and roadmaps to prospective customers;
l
Identify business opportunities with the sales;
l
Analyze customer’s technical requirements, identify industry trends, and provide input to sales and management;
l
Be alert to competitive products and marketing campaigns and keep sales and management informed;
l
Develop strong customer relations at a technical level, to gain further insight to direction and needs of the customer.
Qualifications:
l
Master degree major in CS, EE or related discipline, At least 3 years working experience of instrument control in wireless communication field ;
l
Bachelor degree with 5+ years’ related work experiences;
l
Applicants should have prior FAE/AE experience and/or enjoy working with people in a technical support role;
l
Experience developing and using automated RF/Wireless test systems;
l
Knowledge of the RF PHY requirements for the following wireless communications standards:
--- 802.11abgn WLAN
--- 802.15 Bluetooth 2.x, 3.x
--- Cellular GSM/GPRS/EDGE, EVDO/HSDPA, LTE
--- 802.16 WiMAX, GPS, FM, NFC knowledge a plus
l
Familiar with RF/system level test equipment such VSAs, VSGs, SAs, SGs, O-scopes, Power Meters, Vector and Scalar NA, Wireless Communication testers, etc.;
l
At least two years work experience on developing and supporting automatic test software solution , developing
GUI, API and measurement module using Visual C++,.NET environment, has acknowledge of C.C++ VB program language ;
l
Testing knowledge of TX/RX Gain Stages, TX Masks, TX/RX Calibration, Insertion and Return Loss, Phase Matching, Spurious output signals, DC Current, etc. ;
l
Experience with design and implementation of wireless testing software capable of testing WiMax, WiFi, etc.
is a plus;
l
Able to work independently and complete project schedule under press on schedule. Excellent troubleshooting, analysis and problem solving skills;
l
Ability to speak/read/write/present in English clearly for both internal and customer communications at a technical level;
l
Willing to learn new technologies, self-motivated, passionate about software development with high technical competency;
l
Good team work spirit, easy to cooperate with customers and team members;
l
Enthusiastic about meeting the challenge of providing world class engineering services;
l
Excellent verbal and written communication sense and skill;
l
Able to travel internationally and locally, this position involves frequent travel throughout Greater China and international (30-40%).
DESIRABLE
The knowledge of wireless protocols and measurement equipment control will be helpful for this position
