Automation Test Lead

Responsibilities:
·         Responsible for overall test automation architecture and test tool development
·         Proven ability to lead a team of automation testers
·         Demonstrated experience in creating an automation framework or tool from the ground up
·         Must be able to code in multiple programming languages and scripting languages
·         Knowledge of multiple operating systems including Windows, Unix, Mac
·         Automated web testing experience using commercial or open source tools
·         Automated client-based testing experience using commercial or open source tools
·         Establish test environments and test data
·         Demonstrated experience in organizing, prioritizing, and coordinating their own work
·         Coach and train automation testers including Sr. Testers
·         Evaluate automated test tools and new testing frameworks
·         Help define and implement processes and best practices with regard to automated testing
·         Create generic and reusable testing solutions that are maintainable and adaptable to fast changing environment
·         Effectively and efficiently communicate with test teams, developers, and management
·         Must be familiar with code coverage, code inspection, unit test frameworks, and other code metric tools

Qualifications:
·         B.S. in Computer Science (or related field)
·        Proven experience developing automation tools or custom automation scripts
·        At least 5 years in either a testing role or development role as a test tool developer or test automation framework developer
·        At least 1 year leading a team of at least 2 automation testers
·         Ability to work in a fast moving / changing environment
·         Background in commercial software and/or Internet application projects
·         Proven effective use of wide range of testing methods, tools and standards
·         Knowledge of multi-tier application architectures, software design, development methodologies and related tools
·         Significant background in test environment creation and maintenance
·         Demonstrated skills with one or more of the following programming languages: C++, VB/VBA, Java, .Net, Ruby, Perl, Python, tcl/tk, etc
·         Expertise or certification in one or more of the following commercial testing tools:  IBM Rational Suite, SilkTest Suite, WinRunner, LoadRunner, QuickTest Pro, or soapUI
·         Expertise or certification in one or more of the following open source  testing tools: Junit, Nunit, TestNG, Selenium, Fitnesse, HttpUnit, HtmlUnit
·         Led the automation of tests for multiple software systems
·         Solid debugging and problem solving capability
·         Experience with relational databases- Oracle, SQLServer, MySQL etc. (a plus)
·         Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project
·         Strong leadership, mentoring and interpersonal skills
·         Highly organized and conscientious; extremely motivated, cooperative and flexible
·         Experience in delivering in a CMM 3 level organization of higher preferred
·         Good communication skills in English (verbal and written)


Other Requirements:
Bi-lingual (Chinese/English)
