Software Testing Engineer (General)
---Job descriptions and responsibilities---
The Software Testing Engineer will work within DNV Software Shanghai section, where we produce state-of-the-art industry leading software for marine& offshore strength assessment and asset integrity management. Within a fairly agile development process, you are supposed to:
- Analyze requirement specification and assess the testability.
- Design and maintain test scenarios, test data and exploratory checklist.
- Execute test in accordance with test plan
- Report quality status and keep track on defects
- Other potential tasks.

- BS/MS degree in Computer Science/Engineering, or related
- Solid understanding to software testing methodologies and process, at least 2 years’ experience in software testing or SQA
- Proficient knowledge and experience in web application testing or development.
- Concrete knowledge of relational database management system
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills
- Good oral and written skills in English
Software Testing Engineer (Marine Engineering and Hydrodynamics)

As a domain expert, you are expected to co-work with business developer to identify and clarify every detail of the domain requirements, and then split them into testable software requirements. As a tester, you will collaborate with software developers closely to accomplish the following tasks:
- Execute test according to test plan
- Design and maintain test cases and scripts as well as test data
- Report quality status, keep track on the defects, assist developers to diagnose the root cause and resolve them
- Push forward to on time and on quality delivery of the product under testing
- Maintenance of automated regression tests in our hydrodynamic analysis software
- Other potential tasks
---Qualifications---
- Degree in naval architecture, marine engineering or mechanics background and 2 years+ relevant experience
- The love of and interest in quality control / quality assurance
- Good attitude and behavior
- Good communication skill
- Good English skills (speaking and writing)
