Position: Localization Quality Assurance Engineer

PTC, founded in 1985, develops, markets and supports collaborative product development (CPD) software solutions that help manufacturers improve the competitiveness of their products and product development processes We are currently seeking a Localization Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team in our Shanghai, China office.  

Description Summary:  

Follow quality assurance standards and processes to develop, publish, and implement test plans and test cases for localized PTC products. Write and maintain test automation scripts. Report and manage products defects. Define and track quality assurance metrics. Follow disciplined software quality assurance practices to perform a variety of quality assurance tasks. This role relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish software product quality goals.  

Qualifications:  

1)        At least Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering, or relevant fields with adequate industrial experience
2)        2+ years experience in IT or software industry, especially in QA area.  
3)        Good understanding of and basic skills with various operating systems: Windows 2000/XP/2003, Solaris, HP, AIX, Linux, etc.
4)        Good understanding of and basic skills in web-based technology and common applications (Web browser, Web server, Servlet engine, and other 3rd-party software, etc.) that interact with PTC products.
5)        Good understanding of and basic skills in database, such as Oracle, MS SQL server, MySQL, etc.
6)        Good understanding of and basic skills in software development, such as HTML, .NET Framework, ASP .Net, CSS, etc.
7)        Team player with good inter-personal interaction and communication skills in both verbal and written.
8)        Good analytical and software troubleshooting skills.
9)        Exposure or working experience with MCAD products is a big plus.
10)    Exposure or working experience with commonly used localization/Translation tools is a plus.

Specific Requirements:  
1)        2 ~ 3 years working experience in IT industry if skilled in one of Korean, Japanese or European languages (German, French, Russian, Spanish, Italian) OR
2)        5 ~ 6 years working experience in MCAD or PDM area with good English capability and technical skills.
