Test OpenTV Core middleware running in the set-top box. The candidate will be responsible for identifying product defects before product shipment. The candidate must be able to work individually, communicating with developers geographically remotely, and work in a team environment locally to learn and share the knowledge within the team. Tasks include reading and understanding product specifications, setting up the test environment infrastructure, writing test specification, developing automated tests, and analyzing test failures. The individual must have good engineering disciplines, be familiar with the development and test process. The individual must also have knowledge of testing methodology to design the tests for best test
caverage                           
Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of software testing experience, preferable in Real-time embedded software systems
Programming experience in C and C++ under Unix, Linux, or Window development environment is a must
Familiar with Shell/perl scripting, makefile, and source control software tools.
Core competence and a passion for exposing potential product defects; experience in testing libraries API’s, also system and integration testing.
Proven ability to write test plans and test specifications (in English) based on engineering specifications and product requirements
Demonstrated abilities in developing test programs/test suites, automated test suite is a plus
Experience of the software development lifecycle
Knowledge of Digital TV broadcasting standards (MPEG, DVB-SI) is a plus
Good communication skills; preferably good English communication
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field .

Job Title:  System Software Engineer
Job Description:
This role requires an experienced engineer who is flexible and experienced enough to engage in a variety of roles within the team. This could range from a contributing developer to a lead architect. The main tasks of this position are designing, developing and maintaining our current and future client and server side software products. This Job involves having a technical knowledge in the delivery of audio, video, data pipelines across multiple platforms and devices with a core understanding of the digital TV space and digital STB architecture. Candidate must have a successful track record for delivering software products in addition to proven experience in embedded client software architecture, design and development.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Design, develop and document OpenTV Tools and authoring products. This includes IDE, SDK and end-user tools that allow developers to build applications and services for the OpenTV Digital TV Set Top Box (STB).
• Design and develop new tools for Interactive TV functionality such as program data retrieval and presentation, video on demand (VOD), and PVR support. The systems may require both server side and client side solution and candidate is expected to provide both with high quality.
• Proven ability to write software requirements document, design document and functional test plans.
• Understanding the needs and concerns of various levels of management both internally and externally and be able to provide appropriate status to the different audiences.
• They must be able to present technical aspects and details of the project and its implementation for the customer to technical audiences and also be able to summarize it for non-technical audiences.

Job Requirements:
• Bachelor degree in EE or CS
• Interest and Passion for the Digital TV space and in building reliable tools and utilities to advance the application development of ITV services.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in software design/development in C/C++, Java.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the Windows platform and some experience in C#.
• Experience in working with Web technologies, like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc
• Experience in developing embedded software in ANSI C
• Working experience on Eclipse is highly desirable
• Experience/knowledge in Digital Broadcasting standards/protocols (MPEG transport stream, DVB, etc.) and digital broadcasting infrastructure is a plus
• Embedded system development tools knowledge is a plus
• Knowledge of OpenTV middleware or application development environment is a plus

I have two years experience in DTV field, But not on browser.
I'm familiar with all kind of DTV standard, such as DVB-T, ATSC, ISDB, TDMB and so on.
But i am not familiar with W3C protocols,OS such as SOLARIS, LINUX...
It's a pity......
Maybe the salary is tempting and wtih a better future...hoho~~~
