Blackboard is seeking exceptional individuals to accept the challenge of working in an energetic environment with cutting-edge technologies to help deliver various products from Blackboard portfolio including education or enterprise document management solutions.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
•    Create and maintain automated test cases that ensure comprehensive testing according to system specifications and user stories
•    Develop the test strategy for the story, incorporating the right balance of unit tests, integration/API tests, and UI tests
•    Maintain communication with other team members as well as Development and Support teams
•    Document, troubleshoot and isolate problems encountered during testing
•    Perform all aspects of verification, including functional, regression, load and system testing as well as documentation review
•    Design, implement and maintain complex testing environments


REQUIRED SKILLS:
•    B.S. in Computer Science or related area of study; and at least 2+ years of experience in QA automation
•    Experience with developing test automation scripts for web applications
•    Experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as Webdriver, TestNG
•    Proficient with Java, HTML, CSS
•    In depth knowledge of various software quality and testing methodologies
•    Technical understanding of database configuration and ability to write simple SQL scripts
•    Experience with one or more scripting languages like shell or bash
•    Advanced spoken and written English


PREFERRED SKILLS:
•    Experience doing automated testing of mobile applications (iOS and Android) i
•    Ability to troubleshoot software / hardware configuration problems
•    Experience with REST APIs, Javascript, XML, JSON
•    Experience with JIRA bug tracking system
•    Experience with build environments like Jenkins, Ant.
