Technical Supervisor, Shanghai
Description:
• People management including goal setting, appraisal, periodic engagement meetings with team members and managing achievement
• Provides guidance and direction to promote employee development, using Honeywell's HPD/GCP, UCP processes.
• Manages and influences team and the culture in their teams through effectively hiring strategy, rewarding and motivating strategy and talent differentiation for high performance.
• Plans, builds, trains and sustains talents for team capability and competency growth.
• Support product V&V lead to perform employee management, including biannual employee reviews, Management Resource Readiness (MRR) and Technical Resource Readiness (TRR) assessments
• Lead the team to ensure program execution and meeting program commitments for their programs and projects in China
• Responsible for supplying resources (people, benches, tools, etc.) to programs and projects as well as improvement initiatives for their programs and projects in China
• Responsible for the estimates for the programs and projects
• Responsible for meeting SW V&V CoE goals applicable to their programs and projects
• Responsible for Implementing SW V&V CoE strategies applicable to their programs and projects.
• Responsible for deploying the improvements and common strategies driven from Pro-Tech group and continuous improvement in cross-location work flow for their products
• Support product lead to enable connectivity with upstream development activities, product CoE and interfacing organizations
• Supporting product V&V lead in interfacing with external stakeholders, including EOPS, ETS, PI, QMS team for MOR, census, audit, CMMi and etc.
• Responsible for deploying and executing H.O.S at their teams.
• 6+ years experience in software/systems/software verification
• 3+ years of experience directing / leading others (formal or informal)
• Strong technical skills with emphasis in the areas of software development and verification processes, certification, and DO-178 design assurance guidelines.
• Experience in driving change through an organization and strong leadership
• Applicant should be highly motivated and have the ability to influence technical decisions.
• The candidate shall have effective communication skills, work well as a member of a global management team
• Have demonstrated skills/abilities in the following areas: capability to multi-task and manage competing priorities, drives and meets stretch goals, demonstrates trust and works effectively with peers, management and customers, develops and implements action plans to meet project objectives, proactively identifies and resolves issues and drives continuous improvement.
• Green belt and/or DFSS certified
• knowledge/experience in FMS system development/verification is a plus
