Overview
The successful candidate will have a key role in the creation and management of a team of QA Engineers working with a remote team to test an enterprise-level software product. Strong organizational abilities, people skills, and project management are key attributes needed to be successful in this position.

Communications Skills:
• Excellent written and verbal skills in English;
• Ability to clearly communicate key issues and status using email;
Technical Knowledge:
• 5+ years experience in the software development lifecycle (SDLC);
• Sound knowledge of software industry testing best practices;
• Experience with the design and execution of automated testing techniques, for both interactive and non-interactive systems;
• Knowledge of load-testing techniques;
• Experience with white-box and black-box testing;
• Experience with the use of scripting languages to build testing tools and harnesses;
• Knowledge and understanding of the tools used throughout the software development lifecycle (Development, unit test, build, source code control and versioning tools etc.,);
• Knowledge of UNIX and Windows development environments and the tools and standards used in those environments;
Responsibilities:
• Recruit and retain team members;
• Interact with the remote QA and Development teams and other stakeholders;
• Develop and execute effective testing strategy and process, via automated and manual methods;
• Directly manage and supervise QA engineers;
• Drive and manage the defect detection and tracking process;
• Work closely with the Development organization to improve software quality;
• Work with product support teams to replicate customer issues and use cases;
• Constantly refine the effectiveness and efficiency of the defect detection process;
• Set goals for team members;
• Perform staff reviews;
• Advocate and implement sound software QA processes and best practices for the team;
• Ensure that specific deliverables are identified and communicated;
Education:
• BS or Graduate degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field.
