Job Title: ASP Quality Assurance Manager
FLSA Status: Exempt
Department: Network Operations
Reports To: VP, Network Operations
Summary: The QA Manager is responsible for the staffing and management of QA resources and day-to-day management of company QA practice and procedures. The QA Manager will work closely with all relevant teams to ensure successful and on time delivery of Entriq product and services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
" Provide leadership required to assure timely delivery of scheduled releases of products and services.
" Maintain and continue to evolve best practices and standards for the QA teams.
" Champion Quality improvement initiatives by working closely with key team member across all departments.
" Drive efforts to automate the functional, regression, interoperability, load and scalability testing of products and services.
" Develop strategies to measure and monitor Service performance on a global basis.
" Lead and conduct operational reviews of service integration, performance measurement, quality control and change management.
" Utilize industry best practices such as Six Sigma when recommending, implementing and improving operational performance.
" Work with operational teams to identify and collect key performance metrics.
" Analyze performance data using statistical control charts and root cause analysis to determine efficiency improvements.
" Monitor Product Manager and Engineering schedules to develop and maintain related QA schedules to ensure on-time delivery of products and services.
" Act as catalyst for improving the proficiency and effectiveness of QA personnel, processes and methodologies.
" Take ownership and engage cross departmental resources to resolve chronic and critical issues in an expeditious manner.
" Act as advocate to promote overall improvement in the products and service.
" Develop, track and report QA and Documentation performance metrics and benchmarks.
" Promote development of new approaches to solve problems identified during QA activities.
" Provide regular reports to the management team about significant QA issues, or development and corrective actions taken to improve the situation.
" Evaluate individual performance and provide mentoring to promote skill improvement and career growth.
" Hire, fire, train, counsel, and evaluate employees, and recommend salary increases, promotions and other personnel actions for employees under direct supervision.
Position Requirements:
" BA/BS Computer Science degree or a related technical discipline or equivalent experience
Minimum 8+ years QA experience
" Minimum 5+ years previous software development experience in a Windows and Linux environment required
" Minimum 5+ years of QA management experience
" Minimum 5+ years of QA experience in testing ASP web based and database systems
" Demonstrated ability to lead and encourage a team-oriented environment
" Demonstrated ability to gather consensus through negotiation
" Highly developed critical thinking and risk analysis skills
" Extensive work experience with development process and integration of QA process
" Strong knowledge of C++, relational databases, HTML, ASP and JSP
" Excellent knowledge of internet networking, management and security protocols
" Strong cross-platform development skills
" Extensive experience with QA testing tool
" Proven track record of working effectively with technical and business functions
" Substantial experience testing internet and Web application products and services
" Substantial experience with embedded streaming media Web applications
" Considerable experience with office and support tools
" Excellent knowledge of internet networking, management and security protocols
" Ideal candidate is a proven strong leader, quality conscious, has excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills, and is highly self-motivated
