Essential Day-to-Day Responsibility:
Completes the objectives of each assignment (typically project tasks).
Responsible for providing for the planning, casing, scripting, and execution of all testing required of a project.
Reviewing, analyzing business and technical requirements, with their testability and test approaches.
Developing and maintaining test plans, test environment, test cases, test scripts and/or workflow usage, with limited assistance.
Generating test data and analyzing the performance bottleneck
Conducting testing using company-specific, manual or automated processes.
Executing test scripts/cases and providing weekly status reports or as needed to management;.
Generate the test report and manage defects using company standard methods, analyze defects post test.
Diagnosing and resolving technical and operational problems on installed networks, systems or products.
Recommending improvements to the testing processes to create efficiencies.
Sharing the domain knowledge within team.
Education:
Bachelor or Master (prefered) in CS /EE major
Required Skills:
The following skills are a must:
• 2-3 years minimum testing or other development experience
• Experience of formal software development lifecycle, with a solid understanding of software testing methodologies and tools
• Experience with UNIX (Solaris), Linux, and all Windows Operating Systems
• Knowledge of TCP/IP & UDP Multicast fundamentals and troubleshooting
• Experience in writing Unix scripts, xml, html, asp's, perl, and windows command files
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Strong analytical, problems solving and interpersonal skills
• Must be a self-starter with excellent initiative
• Attention to detail
• Flexible in working hour or working scope changes.
The following skills are a plus:
• Working knowledge of market data content
• Experience in performance testing with multiple platforms, operating systems, and applications
• Experience in testing automation
