Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Description:

In this hands-on, technical position, the individual will be responsible for the integration, testing, and release qualifications of the StarCite suite of products.

• Participate in the entire test cycle, including: defining quality standards, creating test plans, designing infrastructure tests, test tools, defect tracking, bug analysis, and product quality reporting.

• The individual will work closely with software development and IT professionals in a distributed team setup to ensure successful deployments of upgrades and enhancements on an on-going basis.

• Handle multiple priorities, work well under pressure in a fast paced, dynamic environment, and possess a high level of flexibility.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years in SQA and/or software development.

• Extensive experience with black box, white box, performance, scalability testing, and test automation (Java and Open Source tools desirable).

• Expert in testing methodology, test cycles, test tools, and testing methodologies

• Expert in automated test design, development

• A strong commitment to standards in software quality.

• Technical competency with SQL, HTML, DHTML, VBScript, JavaScript, Java, J2EE and Apache is a plus.

• Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills a must.

• Experience in working with distributed teams.

• A BS in Computer Science or related field.
