1. Position Title: Software Setting Engineer  
Head counter: 2

Position Description:
The successful candidate will be a member of MP SW Stream of Beijing Product Creation where Nokia mobile phones developed.

The main Responsibilities:
- Create and validate Product Default variant;
- Implement and validate Maximus setting;
- Update all variants to the newest Sales SW;
- Generate Setting related Document and put needed SW into Production system;
- Coordinate for country and operator variants implementation;
- Support Production Testing Team & Customer Service team for settings related issues;
- Data package creation
- Error handling;
- Maintain Flashing environment;
- Create and maintain Common setting tools;

Needed Competencies and Skills:
- Bachelor or above degree in SW Engineering;
- Typically at least 2 years directly related experience or 2-4 years overall professional experience;
- SW developer or build manager experience is preferred
- Process oriented when dealing daily work and discussion;
- be able and willing to create scripts to improve work efficiency;
- Be persistent in driving issues to be completely solved and willing to challenge authority;
- Proactive and honest in nature and be able to work with people of various disciplines;
- Be able to manage multiple tasks/programs;
- Good communication skill with speaking and writing in English.

It will be perfect if there are:
- Professional work experience with Continuus and SW build/CM experience will be a plus;
- Basic knowledge about Nokia SW platforms;

Nokia Mobile Phones R&D Software Stream designs, develops, tests and maintains software for Nokia mobile terminals. Our mission is to deliver the highest quality software to the internal and external customers in a timely manner.

2. SW Integration Engineer (Senior)
Head counter: 2

Position Description:
As a member of the Nokia China Mobile Phones R&D software team, you should have a good understanding of mobile phone software system architecture, mobile phone features and applications to fulfill following responsibilities:
1) Configuring and integrating software features into products and insuring required features work properly on mobile phone.
2) Driving the error handling, tracing and debugging of responsible features to achieve product quality target.
3) Optimize product configuration to fine-tune performance, memory usage and feature interaction.
4) Providing recommendations to development groups from product perspective during the implementation of new requirements.

Requirements:
1) M.Sc or equivalent degree in Software Engineering or similar field is required
2) 3 or more years of work experience in designing, coding, integrating, testing and maintaining embedded software
3) Good command of written and speaking English
4) Must be self-motivated, proactive and achievement oriented.
5) Good team worker with strong coordination and negotiation skills.

As Senior SW Integration Engineer, you should possess one of the following two skillset:
1) Detailed knowledge of UI and application design for commercial products.
• Understand architecture as a big picture (from low to high level)
• Able to find errors in complex system, and understand inter-component dependencies.
• Able to give feedback to developers, and communicate with them directly to solve probvlem
• Able to look for alternative SW solution and evaluate them
• Able to manage and drive improvment projects with developers groups
2) Investigate SW changes to optimize performance
• Understand performance analysis and benchmark process, for MCU and memory usage.
• Able to create and improve existing performance analysis tools.
• Able to tune real-time performance and fine tune SW configuration
• Able to challenge existing architecture, and provide recommendation on how to improve performance
• Able to solve problem and validate them with SW prototype implementation
To have one or more of the following will be a plus:
• Experience in embedded system architecture and constrainst
• Experience in Protocol Stack (GSM, GPRS, BT, IrDA, … )
• Experience in UI and applications (SMS, Phonebook, Browser, …)
• Experience in Graphic Systems (Image processing, UI customization, .. )
• Experience in OS, abstraction layers and device driver
• Experience in JAVA and multimedia platforms (video, camera, …)


3. Position: SW Type Approval Manager
Head counter: 1

Responsibilities:
•        To make SW TA plan and book test houses (before java is handed over PV team) -> by PCM
•        To drive TA activities (Java TCK and IOP testing) to be completed on time -> by PCM
•        To create related technical document for TA testing (PIXT file, GCF version table, MMS option and version table, ect)
•        To review CTA (China TA) error with SPL and PV team before CTS start.
•        To follow TA errors until those errors are passed in Tcc lab.
•        External support, e.g. to give Tcc lab to technical support. (Deliver SW for TA testing and give instruction of flashing)
•        To review TA test reports and check the TA error.
•        Responsible for Change Document (CD) creating before TA testing begin.
•        Review the tasks and give correct TA impact for each task.
•        Coordinator of PCM and SW team
•        To participate in TA scope meeting and define TA scope with PV team.
•        Comply with and follow the directive, instructions and procedures in force in the SW team and PV team.

5．UI Designer （UI Specification）
Head counter: 3

Position Description:
Design the interaction between the user and the mobile device. Designing features/components based on requirements, working in co-operation with SW Designers, Usability Experts, other UI Designers, graphics designers and Localisation Coordinators.

•        Responsibilities:
-        Create UI design proposals
-        Writing UI specification based on approved design proposal
-        Coordinate UI proposal/UI specification evaluation and review meetings
-        Generate reports and communicate the findings with the design teams
-        Maintain responsible features, suggest for improvements and solve problems
-        Updating UI specification according to occurring changes, error corrections
-        Handling usability issues (testing, end-user needs, feedback from the field)
-        Participate in evaluation and review of UI design proposals and UI specifications owned by other designers
-        Contribute to improve the software process, tool and quality

•        Competencies and Skills:
Excellent technical writing and communication skills in both Chinese and English.
Good understanding of computer sciences and technology.
Understand user needs and strong logical thinking ability.
Knowledge of internationalization and localization within Nokia.  

•        Qualifications:
-        Bachelor degree or above in computer science or related majors.
-        Familiar with MS Office.

•        Responsibilities
• Participate in customer requirement analysis and identify the SW components that needs to be developed, make Analysis & System Design for new features  
• Perform works including design, implementation, module testing and bug fixing for SW components
• Responsible for the documentation of related design, implementation and error correction documents
• Provides technical support to e.g. partners  
• To study/follow-up/evaluate new applications, UI designs and other related technologies and to provide information for product planning  
• To follow ISA SW engineering process and to solve engineering problems  
• Error-tracking, quality control and risk management

•        Competencies and Skills:
1) M.Sc or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar field is required.
2) 5+ years of work experience in embedded software development and real time programming.
3) Experienced on Nokia S40 SW development and experience woking with PlatoEdit/Vader would be a plus.  Good team worker with strong analytical and problem solving skills and work experience with engineering team located in multiple sites. Self motivated and achievement oriented.  Good command of written and oral English.
