1. Job Title: Server Development Manager
Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced manager to guide a team of developers working on various aspects of our SUSE Linux Enterprise Server product.
We are looking for candidates with strong people management skills, who fit well into our R&D organization based on Linux and OpenSource.
As an ideal candidate, you
- have excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken
- have 10 years of experience working in the IT industry
- have leadership experience
- have a passion for Open Source, and be familiar with Open Source development processes
- have worked in an international company before
A technical understanding of Server technologies is a plus, but not a requirement.

2. Job Title: Server Development Engineer
Job Description:
Experienced Linux Storage and High Availability Developer
For our SUSE Linux Enterprise product line, we are looking for experienced Linux developers with a strong background in Storage (esp. LVM, Device Mapper, MD) and the Linux High Availability stack (e.g. corosync, pacemaker).
You will join a team of software specialists working in a global team on an Enterprise grade Linux product. This is a wide field of advanced technology, and offers developers with an open and curious mind a great opportunity to grow and enhance their skills.
As SUSE is a global company with development teams in the US, Europe and Asia, candidates should possess good communication skills in a corporate environment as well as in the open source community. Being willing and able to travel to customers and/or conferences occasionally is considered a plus.
As a candidate, you should be familiar with developing, debugging, and validating Open Source system software on Linux, and be able to design software modules based on professional design documents.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science or the related majors is required. Higher degrees a plus. Equivalent professional experience will be considered.
- At least three years development experience on Linux and Open Source software.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken. (e.g., equivalent to or better than CEFR B2 or TOEFL iBT 90.)
Skills:
- Fluency in the C programming language. Other languages (Python, Perl, shell, Autotools) a plus.
- Knowledge of Open Source software development. Upstream contributions and community involvement a plus.
- Software development and engineering, both as an individual contributor and in a team. Experience with testing and QA a plus.
- Version control systems and code review. git, GitHub, mercurial a plus.
- Experience as a developer or administrator with storage, distributed systems, and High Availability or HPC clustering a plus.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.

3. Job Title: QA Intern
Job Description:
The SUSE Quality Assurance department plays a critical role in ensuring the overall quality of SUSE products. This Bug report screener position is an internship. In this position, you will be responsible for reviewing bug reports entered by external and internal users. This includes checking if all required logs were attached, if the bug was entered for accurate component and product, and if the bug reproduction steps were clear, etc. You will work along with other colleagues and managers to keep the high quality for SUSE products.
Key Responsibilities:
•Reviewing bug reports in bug tracking system
•Helping users to provide additional information via bug tracking system if needed
•Assigning bug reports to the responsible and related developers
•Closing duplicate bug reports
• Prioritizing the bug reports
•Related documentation tasks
Qualification:
•Good written English skills
•Good knowledge of operating system
•Eager to learn new stuff
•Experience with Linux or other Unix-like system is a plus
•At least 4 full working days per week
•Lasting more than 6 months or long term and stable internship
