      How to print a list of the Design Steps w/in a Test.


Solution

      Our testers like having a printout of the Design Steps in a test. TD 6.2 had the ability to right click w/in the steps and print them out to a file, TD7.1 did not. We found the way to use the Test Plan Report to print out just the steps.
1. Go to Test Plan Manager
2. Select Reports from the menu bar
3. Select Planning Report
4. A report will be generated with ALL of the Planning fields visible.
5. Choose Test Name and Steps to be visible, move all other fields to Available.
6. Click OK
7. Click the Filter Button
8. Filter on Designer, or Test Name, or, if the tester wants all the steps for all the tests in a folder, click on Subject to filter.
9. Once the filters have been chosen, click the Generate Report button and the report will be created with just the information requested.
