Software Validation Engineer

In this position, you will be working as Software Engineer in PRC SQE (QA) team under Digital Home Group (Shanghai Zizhu). Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Test/diagnostic software module development and debug
- Test Plan development, Test case execution and trouble shooting
- Improving performance/scalability of existing test modules and testing infrastructure
- Setup customer environment, reproduce/analyze customer reported bugs and understand customer use cases

Qualifications:

- 2 years related experience on embedded software development/testing.
- Good software development, testing and debugging skills in C/C++.
- Efficient in Linux environment, familiar with shell, gcc, makefile, rpm, etc.
- Good communication skills in both English and Mandarin

Having 2 or more of the below knowledge/experience will be a great advantage:

- Knowledge on video processing/decoding - H264, MPEG2, VC1
- Knowledge on audio processing - AAC, AC3, DTS
- Knowledge on stream processing - TS/PS
- Knowledge on 2D/3D graphics - DirectFB, OpenGL
- Experienced on some framework - GStreamer, Qt
- Experienced on Android/Meego development/testing

Intel's Digital Home Group (DHG) is powering a new vision of television. As Intel's consumer platform group, DHG's mission is to be the #1 platform supplier to IP-connected Consumer Electronics (CE) market segments.
