Job description of Section Manager
You will be responsible for a section of development engineers, typically 15-20 people, to manage and coordinate the resources to deliver new features with good quality according to the time plan, and maintain a stable application platform.
Job Responsibility:
Some of the key responsibilities for a section manager are to:
• Build the team with right competence to fulfill the vision of software organization
• People management, establish roles and responsibility, motivate and inspire people, reward and discipline, take care of career development of team members
• Set objectives, provide coaching, guidance and feedback, lead team members to their optimum performance levels
• Act as sponsor to support project activities to ensure completion is on time, with the right quality and within budget
• Guide the team to work according to the global processes
• Make decisions and take appropriate actions within the area of responsibility
• Cooperate closely with the other R&D sites worldwide in Sweden, Japan, and US etc.
Qualifications:
We are looking for a person with:
• Bachelor's degree and above with engineering background
• Minimum of 3 years of management/ leadership experience in a software development organization required.
• Strong understanding of the software development cycle, familiar with Agile development process like TDD, Scrum etc.
• Strong leadership, project management skills, time management, and problem solving skills
• Be able to excel in idea generation, evaluation and prioritization, customer and partner engagement, cross-functional cooperation and building/ developing great engineering teams.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, enjoys cooperating with people
• An open minded towards change, ability to prioritize and delegate |
