Title: Senior SoftwareEngineer

EMC, a worldwide leader ininformation infrastructure, the mission of its CTO Office is to help define andsteer the long-term technical strategy for whole company. The EMC Labs Chinaoperates in CTO Office, and focuses on research, identification, evaluation anddevelopment of high-leverage technology incubations.

EMC Labs China is a corecomponent of the EMC China CoE, focusing on fundamental research in newtechnology, product prototype development and incubation, and collaborationswith leading universities and organizations for standardization.  Thereare three laboratories under the EMC China Lab with a respective focus on bigdata, cloud infrastructure design, and cloud platform and applications. 50researchers and engineers form the core team. The cloud platform andapplications lab are seeking talents to join and expand the team.

Responsibility

Identify project opportunity, define solutionarchitecture, and design software implementation

·
Follow common adopted agile developmentprocess and improve it by proactive practices; Participates in the fulllifecycle Proof-of-Concept project design and implementation

Collaborate with oversea senior technologistsand architects in CTO office or business units

·
Works within a team to quickly deliverhigh-quality software solutions

·
Work in some or all of the followingtechnical areas:

IaaS, PaaS, SaaS enablement

Cloud-based Management Service

Information Intelligence, by Data Collecting,Cleaning and Visualization

Requirements

Proficient in Javaand Spring Framework, Knowledge on Python/Ruby is a plus

Strong working knowledge of web servicesdevelopment, SOAP and REST;

A quick learner and an innovator; Being a bitof a geek is a plus

·

General summary:

EMC, a worldwide leader in information infrastructure, is seeking a principal QA software engineer. You will be working on an R&D initiative to explore new system architecture and programming models in enterprise data cloud.  The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience testing database and/or cloud management system software. We are looking for a passionate and brilliant individual to join our dynamic world-class team.  As one of the early members, the candidate will play an important role in this project that will revolutionize the entire data warehousing industry.

Requirements:

- Bachelor/Masters degree in Computer Science or equivalent from a reputable university

- 5+ years of industry experience

- Hands-on experience shipping production software in one of the following areas: web product, distributed systems, database management, data warehousing and cloud management system.

- Strong expertise in all areas of QA, including test case design, automation, white / gray-box testing

- Solid skills in testing Java products

- Experience with agile development process

- Excellent communication skills in both Chinese and English. Comfortable working with US colleagues

- Comfortable working in the Linux environment

Business Unit/Team: Aurora

Location: Beijing

Principle System Test QA Engineer

Responsibilities:

Work with the core R&D engineers to develop and test a DBaaS solution

• Work closely with R&D engineers during the product development to execute tests
• Implementation of test framework and unit/API test creation
• Plan the system test and Make plan, code, execute system/component test against the production
• Lead junior QA engineers/contract to perform good system test

Requirements:

Must Haves:

1.5+ years experience developing/testing enterprise level software products.

2.Strong passion and proactive

3.Strong Linux/Unix skill and experience, capable of shell/perl script

4.Strong programming skill in Java/C++

5.Good understanding on J2EE framework. Solid knowledge of XML, Web Services

6.Solid knowledge of database (architecture, administrator and quality assurance), Hands on experience with MySQL or similar relational database

7.A solid understanding of operating system, network and internet fundamentals

8.Hands on system installation/configuration experience.

9.Excellent communication skills required

10.A good understanding of QA process and software development life cycle

11.Must be team oriented and be capable of working largely on your own with minimum supervision

Preferred:

12.Hands on skill and experience on Python programming/scripting

13.Experienced in developing automation testing, and familiar with at least one of automation tools is preferred

14.Experience working with geographically separate teams

15.Strong trouble shooting and debugging skills to assist in root cause analysis

16.Experience with bugs filing systems and source control systems

Senior Software Engineer

The Advanced Technology Ventures (ATV) team operates in CTO Office, and focuses on identification, evaluation and development of high-leverage technology incubations, strategic investments and due diligence.

The senior software engineer will be responsible for design, development, and maintenance of high quality code for given prototypes or proof-of-concept projects. Especially, for this position, the candidate should be passionate in new business and technology exploration, and be adaptive to work in different incubation projects over the time.



Responsibilities

·        Lead or participate in technology evaluation in new business and technology.

·        Design and implement prototypes and incubation projects.

·        Author concise functional and design specifications.

·        Follow and enforce development processes and standard procedures using agile development approach.

·        Work with applied research leads and architects.



Required Qualifications

·        4+ years of professional system level software architecture and development experience.

·        Proven track record as a programmer, through research, development and delivering significant technology products.

·        C/C++, Java, or scripting language development experience is highly desirable. Algorithm analysis and design is a plus.

·        Broad and deep knowledge in networking, storage, file system, operation system and/or information integration, etc.

·        Experience in any one of cloud computing, policy based management, data virtualization, data analytic and information integration is a good plus.

·        Familiar with software development methodologies and processes, agile process is a plus.

·        Experience working in a multi-national corporation and a geographically distributed engineering organization.

·        Strong communication skills.
