Quality Assurance Engineer II (5)

Position Summary

The IPC QA team is looking for top and excellent SDE-Ts to ensure the software development quality, helps our IPC project.  Your work will ensure we deliver software with high quality to customers in 8+ countries around the world and help us keep costs low.

Objectives

Key Strategic Objectives

Drive quality improvement of reliable, scalable systems that are defect-free.

Help implement good verification process and improve the unit test, as well as integration test.

Focus and Deliverables for first 12 Months

Contribute to the development of a global, real-time, event-driven system.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Educational Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or related area.
Master’s degree / Ph.D. preferred.

Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

·
3-5 years experience in QA and system verification area;

·
hands-on experience writing automated tests using C++/Java/Perl, both for web applications and back end services;

·
Strong design skills with understanding of common Java design paradigms

·
Experience in both black and white box testing

·
Deep background in testing in a Linux environment and using shell scripts.

·
Experience working with Oracle databases and practical experience with SQL;

·
Strong problem solving skills and an ability to come up with creative solutions to impossible-to-solve problems.

·
Knowledge of continuous build system

·
Ability to propose creative and elegant solutions to complex technical problems

·
Willingness to work in an agile, team development environment

·
Excellent interpersonal communication skills

·
Knowledge of conversational English is required

·
Knowledge of SQL

·
Familiarity with Spring, Hibernate, Web Services, Oracle, MySQL is a plus

·
Experience developing software in an agile environment is preferred

·
Experience with event-driven systems highly desirable
