To get over this, fellow testers, we especially need the XP value of courage. We aren't going to get where we need to go in time if we stay in the slow lane. I shudder when I hear of XP projects where the acceptance testing is a full iteration behind development. After many years reporting defects to developers, I can tell you confidently that when they finish an iteration,they want to look ahead to the next one. It helps maintain momentum to fix a problem, especially one which may produce refactoring that affects other areas, BEFORE the end of the iteration. |
