As the Architect for Automated Report Testing, you will be responsible for architecting, developing, maintaining and executing manual and automated functional test cases for ReserveAmerica's applications but specifically focusing on reports. You are a collaborative leader with a passion for technical excellence, inspiring superior performance by developing, coaching, and mentoring employees. You have excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to a broad range of technical and business audiences. You will work with other QA Analysts, Business Analysts and Developers to create automated tests to thoroughly test all applications with a focus on reports.


RESPONSIBILITIES
· Provide technical leadership with proven ability to mentor and coach other employees
· Ability to performance engineer complex, multi-tiered distributed software systems
· Develop and maintain test cases in a test case management system (SpiraTeam) using business requirements, use cases and change requests as input
· Develop and maintain automated test cases using Rational Functional Tester
· Execute manual and automated functional tests
· Analyze test results to identify problem areas and to ensure adequate coverage
· Clearly communicate test results and errors/issues to project team
· Record defects in an issue tracking system (Test Director, JIRA)
· Identify, investigate, report and track defects to closure
· Ensure defined software quality assurance procedures are being followed
· Assist in troubleshooting reported problems
· Other duties as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS
· Minimum 2 years experience architecting software solutions
· Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in software development or Software QA/Testing experience
· Minimum 3 years Java SE/JavaEE programming experience
· Experience with JReport LiveServer and data cubes are ideal
· Proven ability to build test plans and test cases from requirements, use cases and change requests
· Experience writing SQL queries to find, create and update data in a multi-table Oracle databases
· Experience testing web-based applications
· Experience testing, developing or supporting financial systems
· Experience with a test case management system is a definite asset
· Experience developing automated tests using Rational Functional Tester
· Experience working on Linux/Unix servers
· Can build and maintain a clean, stable test environment
· Has sharp eye for quality; meticulous about detail and completeness
· Strong verbal and written communication skills (English), with an ability to express technical concepts
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
· Able to self-manage and prioritize work effectively under pressure
