VxWorks Core OS Test Engineer
Location: Beijing
Job Responsibilities:
Wind River Systems Beijing R&D Center has a great opportunity for VxWorks Core OS Test Engineer. The Test Engineer is responsible for the design, development and execution of the functional testing of one of the core products at Wind River: VxWorks. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in embedded real-time operating system. The selected candidate would become a key contributor in testing VxWorks. The candidate would also be involved in creating and maintaining automation test tools and developing test strategies. The candidate should be able to read design specifications and develop test code in Tcl, C and/or assembly language for the various components of the VxWorks OS. Test development should cover White-Box, Black-Box, performance and stress testing of the VxWorks operating system.
Job Requirements:
Solid computer science knowledge
Solid C programming skills in Unix environment or VxWorks platform
Familiar with script languages (Tcl and/or Shell)
Understanding of basic OS internals such as scheduling, IO, memory management and various bus architectures
Able to work independently, and as a part of a distributed team
Good communication skills in both English and Chinese
BS CS/EE Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related majors
Desired:
Strong trouble shooting skills and proficient in debugging techniques using both command line utilities such as GDB and visual debugging tools
Experience with test automation & testing development tools
Experience working with offshore test teams
Knowledge of Wind River customer applications
Familiarity with large scale, complex development processes
Knowledge of industry standard performance metrics for OS


VxWorks Multicore Test Engineer
Location: Beijing

The candidate would also be involved in creating and maintaining automation test tools and developing test strategies. The candidate should be able to read design specifications and develop test code in Tcl, C and/or assembly language for the various components of the VxWorks OS. VxWorks Networking & MiddlewareTest Engineer
Location: Beijing/Chengdu
The Test Engineer is responsible for the design, development and execution of the functional and/or system level testing of one of the core products at Wind River: VxWorks. The candidate will be responsible for developing and running tests to validate the new and existing functionality, performance and stability of VxWorks.
Responsibilities:
Work with Engineering and Marketing to define requirement / use cases and how to test these definitions
Ensure Wind River products quality based on effective test efforts
Expand the scope of testing to best cover customer requirements
Reviewing test results from several sources
Developing automated tests to improve the testing process
Job Requirements:
Solid computer science knowledge
Development experience in C
Knowledge of VxWorks & Unix or Linux
Understanding of basic OS internals such as scheduling, IO, memory management and various bus architectures
Able to work independently and as a part of a global distributed team
Excellent written and oral communication skills in both Chinese and English
BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related majors
Desired:
Self motivated, hard working and good team work
Familiarity with development processes, including writing software, development and test tools, Integrated Development Environments
Experience in embedded system development and test practices
Proficient in debugging techniques using both command line utilities such as GDB and visual debugging tools.
Experience with test automation & testing development tools
Knowledge of Wind River customer applications
Knowledge of networking protocols such as OSPF, NAT, IPSec/IKE, IP Firewall, etc
Familiarity with large scale, complex development processes
Experience with scripting languages, such as TCL/Expect, Python and Perl
