Education/Experience:
- Bachelors or above, Computer Science or related
- 3 + years QE experience or equivalent industry experience
Position Summary:

Adobe China Globalization QE team is looking for Quality Engineer to join us in driving the delivery of successful, cutting edge technology and building the globalization testing process to be more efficiency and effective. As a member of this high profile team, you will work as a tightly extension of the product QE team and be responsibility for ensuring the quality of the platform product, with a focus on creation and execution of functional, compatibility, usability plans and testing, creating and maintaining automated testing, drive the product quality in an efficient manner. Responsibilities:
- Collaborative work with engineering teams at various campuses, such as US, India and Japan;
- Digest features of product under test, figure out special areas related with globalization and create overall globalization test solutions for specific product;
- Create, review and execute globalization test plans and test cases to ensure the test coverage;
- Develop and execute thorough test plans and test cases in a timely and efficient manner;
- Work with software developers on the design and specification of features related with globalization;
- Develop and maintain product globalization automation framework
- Analyze testing results and write detailed reports that accurately isolate the problem;
- Collect measurement metrics of globalization testing operation to continuously improve testing quality and efficiency;
- Help improve and define effective globalization testing processes;
- Manage and support vendor QE teams in globalization and localization testing to deliver high quality localized products on time and in possibly highest quality;
- Mentor vendor QE teams in product knowledge training, bug reporting and verification and test status reporting;
- Monitor vendor team testing operation and find out potential risks and corresponding escalation plan and mitigation plan;
- Critically think about how local consumers will interact with the software being tested and turn those thoughts into finding bugs, listing action items, opening avenues of discussion and finding out customized requirements from local end users;
- Continually research new globalization and product technologies and incorporate that new knowledge into ongoing QA process.
Desired Technical Skills:
- Solid knowledge of testing methodology;
- Solid knowledge of Globalization and World-Readiness;
- Advanced knowledge in automation testing and development;
- Advanced knowledge of one of OS, e.g. Windows, Mac, Unix and Linux;
- Advanced knowledge of one of application servers, e.g. JBoss, Weblogic, Websphere;
- Advanced knowledge of networking knowledge;
- Advanced knowledge of one of database development, e.g. MS SQL server, Oracle, My SQL;
- Experience with programming at least one of the OOP languages, e.g. Java or C++;
- Experience in using one of the Adobe products, e.g. Acrobat, Photoshop, Flex, Flash;
- Demonstrated knowledge and background in all aspects of the software development process, including engineering, quality assurance, documentation, internationalization, and localization
- Able to grasp the scope of decisions and their impact on internationalization and localization
- Expert at setting realistic time goals for deliverables
Desired Non-Technical Skills:
- Good verbal and written English communication skill
- Ability to achieve results with little supervision or direction
- Flexibility to move between tasks
- Proactive and positive attitude
- Be strong communicator and able to articulate ideas clearly
Preferred experience:
- Experience of RIA application development
- Adobe certified engineer
- Experience of Video Editing with Adobe Creative Suites, e.g. Premiere Pro, After Effects.
- Knowledge in other foreign languages beside English is a plus, e.g. Japanese, Korean, French, German, etc.
