Problem Description: VuGen is taking 10 times as long to record a business process, when compared to the browser
VuGen is taking about 25-35 minutes to record a business process that takes about 3 minutes to record manually.

Solution: Select the "Use Defaults" option for "Headers," "Content Types," and "Non-Resources"
While recording the script, the recorder will parse through the server responses to indentify sessionid's, standard header values, etc. If the recording time is high, then the most probable reason would be the high parsing times. The "recording scheme" options in Recording Options -> Advanced can effect the parsing times. If too many options are checked in "recording scheme," the parsing times and, hence recording times, will be very high.
As a possible work-around, go to Tools -> Recording Options -> Advanced, and select the "Use Defaults" option for the "Headers," "Content Types," and "Non-Resources" settings. If these settings are to be non-default for your recording requirements, clear the options that are not essential for recording. |
