Job Summary

We are seeking several software engineers with both of strong programming skills and good understanding on software testing. Selected candidates will be engaged in our project for Microsoft as SDET, based in Microsoft’s facility in Shanghai.

The software product needed to test is a complex e-commerce web application, requiring strong coding skills to write test code for automated test, outstanding trouble shooting skills, and the ability to think of complex test scenarios. Ideal candidates has more than 2 years of experience in programming and testing following systematic development processes.

This is a very challenging job as well as providing successful applicants with many opportunities of improving their technical skills. Various and intensive training programs will be provided by Microsoft product team during the project lifecycle.

Job Responsibilities

• Execute Deployment testing on various environments, trouble shoot issues encountered
• Execute automated test cases (over 10K) on different environments
• Regression test functionalities on expanded bed for different components
• Debug in distributed environments
• Write test code to automate manual and recurring cases as needed
• Add additional test cases as needed
• Drive bugs and other issues to closure

Job Qualifications

• A BS degree or above in Computer Science or a related technical field
• Strong debugging skills, able to work on legacy code
• Experience in .NET development is preferred. Prior product development and in depth, working knowledge of XML, SQL, AD, networking and IIS will be a plus
• Passion for, and commitment to, software quality
• Quick self learning, attentive to detail, organized, methodical approach, drive for results
• Working experience in software industry and a proven track record of shipping high quality, scalable software will be a plus
• Good communication skills; Fluent in English reading and writing, able to communicate smoothly with oversea team in email and phone call
