To support our Quality Assurance team we arelooking for a QA Engineer for Software Maintenance. In this role you areresponsible for testing software updates on a number of different hardwarearchitectures and products. You will work with the developers on designing,executing and reviewing test cases and test environments and support automationwhere possible. You will be exposed to latest technologies in systemsmanagement, virtualization and storage concepts.
Responsibilities:
• testing software patches/updates on supported hardware architectures andproducts
• maintenance of reference test systems
• design, develop and maintain both automated and manual tests
• related documentation tasks
Candidate Profile:
• More than two years of work experience in the area of linux qualityassurance/testing
• good knowledge of the Linux operating system (experience in Linux systemadministration and system programming is desirable)
• programming skills in common scripting languages (preferrably Ruby,Python or Bash)
• good knowledge of English, both spoken and written
• involvement in Open Source projects is a plus
• self-dependent but customer-driven working style
• precision and accuracy
• team player
