Position 1:Test Automation Engineer


Context (Role Responsibility) :
Work in a research center in a well-known multinational company with a dynamic, stimulating environment, competitive compensation and plenty of opportunities to grow professionally. Help in pioneering broadband internet access to the end-user with the Worldleader of DSL technology through close collaborate with other Thomson world-wide research centers.

Job Description :
- Develop and execute automated tests in order to validate the technical implementation of the Thomson gateway products
- Develop and maintain an automated test environment

General
- English reading/writing (Mandatory)
- Good programming capability (Mandatory)
- Good communication capability

- High degree of initiative and responsibility
Specific
- Bachelor degree in Telecom, Computer Science or related discipline (Preference)
- Experience in scripting languages: TCL (or Ruby or Python or Perl) (Preference)
- Telecom testing background (Preference)
- Knowledge on Linux/Unix system
- Background in Ethernet and IP networking including relevant experience in a subset of the following technologies : (Preference)
   Awareness of IP based technologies, network protocols such as DHCP / DNS / SNTP,  NAT/NAPT, UPnP, Firewall, etc.
   Awareness of xDSL based technologies
   Awareness of WAN connection protocols such as PPPoE
   Awareness of Ethernet and ATM based technologies

Position 2：System Integration Test engineer

Job Description
-Validate the technical implementation of the Thomson gateway products by means of black-box testing
-Create, maintain and refine test cases and requirements for manual/automation regression and new feature validation
-Communicate and coordinate with a worldwide software team in order to rapidly solve products defects
-Contribute your technical expertise to system architecture and software development engineers on bleeding edge Triple-play technologies such as Ethernet-in-the-first mile, next generation wireless and Voice and Video over IP technologies
-Continuously thrive to maintain and improve the high quality standards of the Thomson products

Candidate Profile
-General
-Fluent English language: Mandatory
-Good communication capability: Mandatory
-Analytical and quality driven mindset: Mandatory
-High degree of initiative and responsibility
-TCL or similar scripting ability is a plus

-Specific
-Master’s degree in Electrical engineering, Computer Science or related discipline (Masters preferred).
-3+ years working experience in testing and/or test automation.
-Experience with SmartBits or similar testing instruments.
-Telecom background

-Mandatory
-Solid background in networking including relevant experience in a subset of the following technologies:
-xDSL based technologies :ADSL (2+) , SHDSL (bis) , VDSL (2) , EFM
-WAN protocols: PPPoE , PPPoA , CIP , IpoA
-Layer 2 / 2.5 technologies :Ethernet , ATM , WLAN (802.11 a/b/g/n) , VLAN
-IP based technologies HCP / DNS / SNTP , NAT/NAPT , UPnP
-Security technologies :IPSec / SSL / SSH , AAA, RADIUS , Firewall / IDS
-Triple Play technologies :VOIP: H.323, SIP, MGCP ; Video over IP, Multicast & IGMP ; Fixed-mobile convergence
-GPON: system knowledge and testing experience with GPON networks(OMCI, ONTs, OLTs, Optical link budget…)

-Optional
-Experience in configuring following devices
DSLAM (Alcatel / Nortel / ZTE / Huawei)
ATM switches (Marconi)
Router & BRAS (Cisco / Redback / Alcatel / Juniper)
-Experience in scripting languages: TCL, perl, Unix Shell
-Experience in product certification: Wifi / UPNP / DTM (WHQL)
-Experience and potential in leadership and project management is a good plus
-Software tools
-Bug reporting tools: Clearquest / DDTS / Bugzilla
-Network sniffers: Ethereal / Airopeek
-Skilled in using Windows (Vista) & Linux/Unix networking capabilities. Good experience on Macintosh platform is a plus.

Position 3：Test Competency Leader for xDSL gateways

Job Description
-The DSL R&D Test competence Leader translates the company and DSL team’s objectives into a strategic path for the QaCC competence area.
-He/she is responsible for defining and provisioning the current and future competences needed to reach the company’s objectives. He/she is also responsible for defining and establishing the HR-strategy for his/her group.
-He/she manages the strategic and long-term training needs within his/her group.
-He/she is responsible for the department’s implementation of applicable ISO9001 and TL 9000 quality standards.
-He/she watches over the consistent quality of the subsequent product releases.
-He/she is responsible for the overall Beijing planning to be in line with the R&D milestones and the global project’s priorities.
-The Manager has integrity. This means that he/she makes sure that generally accepted social and ethical norms are followed.
-This goes from carefully handling confidential information to showing respect for colleagues and cooperators.

Optional
