GVT QA Engineer

Responsibilities: The Globalization QA Test Engineer will join a dedicated team responsible for Globalization Verification Test; working with the US based Globalization team on the off-shore GVT QA efforts for multiple key IBM FileNet products. The candidate will create and maintain detailed test plans; identify test scenarios and cases; create test data and test scripts, execute tests and provide daily test status; validate user documentation; report defects into defect database and keep track of their resolution and validates resolved defects. The candidate will also perform installations and troubleshootings of J2EE applications, product components, and other software components as needed to support an multilingual enterprise-level testing environment. The successful candidate will provide Globalization expertise, testing methodologies for Web-based Client/Server applications. The candidate will be required to interface with local and US QA Leads and local deployment, and engineering teams. Excellent communication skills and an ability to participate in a fast-paced dynamic environment are essential. Desired Skills and Experience: experienced on enterprise-class software quality assurance: l Globalization/Localization, QA process, methodologies and hands-on testing experience. l Working knowledge of Unix and Windows server platforms; Web Application servers: WebSphere/WebLogic, Database: DB2/Oracle/MSSQL. l Test automation experience. l The ability to multi-tasking, and adapt to agile and dynamic enterprise software development/testing life cycle. l Fluent in written and verbal English communications. l Ability and willingness to work in a team environment. l Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. l BS or MS degree in Computer Science or equavillent.
