Test Engineer Job Description (Senior Position)

Responsibility

•        Review Marketing Requirement Document (MRD) and clarify product requirements.
•        Develop test requirements based on MRD and common product sense. Define project test scope and identify technical training requirements.
•        Estimate test effort; construct WBS for test projects and develop test schedule.
•        Set up test strategy and validation methods, identify project risks with emphasis on technical ones.
•        Develop test plan documents.
•        Lead test case design and ensure test coverage and design quality.
•        Push test document review.
•        Track project progress and provide reports.
•        Assume full responsibility of test deliverables as defined in the product development process.

Skill Requirement
        
         Must to have
•        2+ years of experience in software development, especially in embedded Linux or WinCE system.
•        4+ years of experience in low-level embedded system testing in Linux or WinCE.
•        Familiar with WinCE and Platform Builder.
•        Ability to perform Linux Shell programming.
•        Proficient in GCC / G++ programming in Linux.
•        Knowledgeable with programming WinCE applications.
•        Strong understanding of testing process and test methods.
•        Great test design skills.
•        Understanding of defect tracking process.
•        Experience with test automation design and implementation.

        Nice to have
•        Extensive knowledge of Linux embedded operating system.
•        Experience with hardware driver development in WinCE or Linux.

        Soft Skill
•        Good communications skills.
•        Medium level project management skills.
•        Work under pressure.
