QA Team Leader

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform test execution, including functional (front-end and back-end), regression and integration tests
• Use white box and black box testing methods
• Create test scopes, plans and test strategies
• Write manual test cases/matrixes
• Execute and maintain automation scripts
• Report issues and create status reports
• Work closely with Development team to isolate and resolve bugs/issues
• Execute testing tasks and report status, escalate issues as appropriate
• Coordinate and lead efforts for group testing on a project basis
• Proactively escalate/solve problems, suggest process improvements.
• Identify project risks and recommend actions to minimize risk.
• Lead, guide and manage QA engineers

Job Requirements:

• Solid knowledge of QA methodologies, test documentation and project planning
• Experience in functional testing, regression testing, GUI testing and defect management
• Experience in designing, developing and maintaining automated test suites
• Experience in white box/grey box testing
• Automation experience using Mercury products
• Good understanding /working knowledge of HTML and SQL
• Experience in Unix Scripting and XML
• Knowledge of Java is a +
• Strong bug writing skills
• Excellent analysis skills and attention to details
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Competency in PL/SQL is required as well as a good understanding of related database
• Familiarity with Java, XML, ISAPI, HTML, XSL, JS and basic Windows/UNIX system administration desired.
• 7+ years software QA experience in an E-Commerce environment
  o 3+ years of QA leadership experience
  o 3 + years of hands-on experience with test automation tools

• BSCS, BSEE degree or equivalent required

Job Description:
•        Lead the development of complex, multi-tier distributed software applications.
•        Design layered application, including user interface, business functionality, and database access.
•        Work with other engineers, managers, product managers, QA, and operation teams to develop innovative solutions that meet market needs with respect to functionality, performance, scalability, and reliability while meeting realistic implementation schedules and adhering to development goals and principles.
•        Estimate engineering efforts, plan implementations, and rollout system changes.
•        Share release management duties during feature rollouts and share on-call responsibilities.
•        Develop industry and product technical expertise.
•        Experience in developing highly scalable applications a major plus.

Job Requirements:
•        BS/BA in CS or related field.
•        5+ years experience in requirements analysis, design, coding and unit testing of scalable, distributed, fault-tolerant applications.
•        Expertise required in object-oriented design methodology and application development in Java and J2EE, including servlets, JSP, Java Beans, JDBC. Knowledge of XML, XSL, CSS, JavaScript, and HTML required.
•        Project experience with Jboss or other J2EE application servers required.
•        Experience with database and SQL, preferably Oracle
•        Hands-on experience with J2EE application.
•        Experience with SOA concepts and implementation
•        Proven results oriented person with a delivery focus in a high velocity, high quality environment.
•        Have fluent English abilities in both speaking and writing.
