Validation Engineer, Work place: Shenzhen
Detailed description:
The Validation Engineer will participate to the hardware and software validation of the new products range, reporting to the Asian Validation Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the redaction of the functional specifications with the specifications committee
- Create test plans from the detailed specifications document
- Create automated test scripts
- Drive functional, system & performance tests as well as ageing processes
- Report and follow-up the problems faced
- Ensure communication with the French validation team
- Test the Installation and Configuration
- Support & follow up Customer during the alpha and beta tests phases
- Contribute to the user manual creation (in English)
- Ensure Training of the Application & Support team before the commercial release
- Ensure Level 3 support for the commercialised products
Profile:
- software engineering degree or equivalent,
- 1 to 3 years experience in a similar function within the domain of complex business machines involving high technologies requiring an high degree of accuracy
- Additional background in Image Processing and/or in Electronics will also be strongly appreciated
- Good knowledge of Windows and Linux environments
- Experienced with automated tests scripts (Pearl, Python)
- Experienced in bug tracking, software maturity monitoring and regression detection
- methodical and rigorous
- autonomous in his tasks and able to manage priorities
- very much concerned with usability & reliability
- users’ satisfaction oriented mindset
- Excellent communication skills
- Fluent written and spoken English
The Validation Engineer will be based in Shenzhen lab.
Business trips may be necessary in Asia and France (less than 20% of time).
