QA Engineer (At least 3 years software testing experience and with hands on in e-Commerce area)

Job Description

Develops, publishes, and implements test plans for complex, multi-tier, distributed, SaaS applications throughout the full life cycle of the software.



Job Responsibilities Include

* Follow and implement quality assurance practices and procedures, test plans and other QA assessments

* Works directly with appropriate personnel to understand project concept, objectives and approach of software development projects

* Defines scope and objectives of all levels of QA testing

* Participate in all aspects of testing, including functional and regression testing

* Responsible for the overall success of testing

* Establishes the test direction and deliverables of the test effort within the Agile team

* Provides solutions and resolutions of issues that impede the test effort

* Assures the appropriate level of quality by the resolution of important defects by working with developers to ensure the software development process has an appropriate level of testing

* Creates effective manual test plans, using a variety of toolsets

* Works collaboratively with development during all Agile stages of the project to provide in process testing results

* Records and reports on testing metrics

* Track and report defects using appropriate tools such as HP Quality Center

* Development of automated regression test suites



Work Experience

* Clear understanding of Agile process

* Demonstrated ability to work well with business analysts, programmers and end users in a cross functional team

* At least three years experience working with a structured software methodology and software test experience

* Thorough knowledge and understanding of the software development life cycle including requirements definition, initial application design, testing, final implementation

* Experience in systems integration and user acceptance testing

* Strong communications skills, detail oriented and able to work in fast-paced environment

* Demonstrated experience in developing a test strategy and achieving robust test designs

* Must have working knowledge of test automation tools

* Experienced user of HP Quality Center or other defect tracking applications

* Experience testing dynamic web applications

* Excellent command of English, both written and verbal

* Experience with DB2 is a plus

* Knowledge of programming and scripting languages required for creation of automated test environments including Java and JUnit



Education

* Bachelor’s Degree in Software or Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or Computer Science or equivalent experience
