Key Responsibilities

Design and code, often for the most complex units/modules/products that meet functional and business requirements on schedule and within budget.
Fix bugs, add enhancements. Perform unit/module testing of software to find errors and confirm programs meet specifications.
Assist quality assurance team by providing assistance to testers and support personnel as needed to determine system problems.
Collaborate with quality assurance in creation of their test plans and participate in reviews.
Evaluate impact of software performance, and recommend changes to software design team.
Write and maintain documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, testing, changes, and corrections.
Set up software configuration control and software development environments including program source control to ensure reliable backups and source code integrity.
Participate in design and code reviews with other developers.
Mentor, train, develop and serve as knowledge resource for less experienced Software Engineers.
Skills and experience

Strong programming experience in J2EE technologies like Java, JSP, JSF, XML Web Services.
Experience with database (at least one of MS SQL and/or Oracle) and SQL queries. Experience with PLSQL is a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Hands-on experience on developing web based business applications.
Excellent troubleshooting skills.
Has passion for solving business problems. Working smart and good learning ability.
Prior automation experience using any of the scripts, like Java/.Net/Perl/Shell is desirable.
Preferred Education

Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in Computer Science or related discipline. Master's degree or global equivalent is a plus.

Work Experience

Typically 4 or more years of experience in related role.
