Position Overview
WatchGuard’s Beijing Development Center is looking for senior quality assurance engineers to join the global UTM leader. This is a unique opportunity to participate in the complete product R&D and testing cycle.

Duties/Responsibilities

Work closely with development staff to provide test plans, results and develop trust and credibility

Develop test cases and scripts to enable the timely and accurate testing of SSL-VPN product

Assist Developers in determination of practical workarounds and resolution of defects and issues

Document and report test results, test methodology, and project status to the product team in a clear and concise manner

Review and analyze user documentation for technical accuracy

Cooperate with other teams to ensure any outstanding problem or development that is considered a high risk are closely monitored

Improve and streamline methods and practices to increase testing and reporting efficiency

Qualifications:
• 3+ years experience as a QA engineer for networking and security related products, VPN area is a big plus
• Sound knowledge of AAA, AD, LDAP, RADIUS etc.
• Familiar with TCP/IP, HTTP, FTP, SSH, etc. protocols
• Experience in enterprise applications (Exchange, OWA, SharePoint, Database etc.)
• Systems administration experience in a mixed Linux/UNIX and Windows environment  is a plus
• Knowledge of J2EE framework, MVC structure
• Knowledge of Java application server and web service, e.g. Apache Tomcat etc.
• Experience in writing test plans, test suites and test procedures at the black box and system test levels
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies and environments, knowledge of performance, regression, integration,  interoperability, system level and stress/load test execution
• Experience in leading projects throughout the testing cycle is preferred
• Experience in test automation is preferred
• Ability to anticipate problems and issues, and then recommend solutions to the problems
• Able to cope with pressure, prioritise workload and meet agreed timetables
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills, strong customer focus
• Excellent interpersonal and good communication, Written/Oral English skills
• Quick learning and Self-motivated

Education/Skills/Environment
• Bachelor or above degree in Computer Science or related field with several years of working experience in system and software quality assurance
• 3-5 years experience as a QA Test Engineer in enterprise products

Working Conditions
Position primary works in office environment. Sitting for long period of time, use of computer monitor and keyboard is required.
