What you’ll do

Our group is responsible for advertising brands and products inside our ecommerce website. To get an idea of how valuable that is, Alibaba makes 56% of its profits from advertising. This is an opportunity to be part of building up a new development organization with strong revenue potential inside a successful company. We’re building full-stack engineering teams to handle large scale advertising problems, including real-time behavioral targeting, auctioning and bidding systems and search based advertising.

Full-stack engineering

In our group, we believe that the most effective and agile teams are based on full-stack development, so whether your background is in frontend or backend engineering, we will help you become a full-stack engineer.

Key technologies you will work with are Java, node.js, Docker, Kafka, Vue/React, Postgres, AWS.

Resoponsibilities:

·          Design and propose components of Coupang Media Group systems

·          Implement full-stack, high-scale production systems with fault-tolerance and monitoring

Basic Qualifications

·         4+ years experience building web based products

·         Proficiency in Java and Javascript

·         Experience with dubbo, RxJava, redis/memcache, MOM, Vue/React

·         Good understanding of scalable web services

·         Database experience (SQL/noSQL)

·         Strong problem solving skills

·         Ability to communicate effectively with users, technical teams, and management

·         Ability to work in multi-cultural, cross functional team

Bonus points

·         Experience with advertising systems

·         Full-stack engineering experience

·         J2EE experience

·         Experience with one or more of react.js, angular.js, express.js or node.js

·         Experience with service-oriented architecture and web application/services development

·         Experience working with AWS (Amazon web services)

·         English or Korean language skills

·         Experience working in startups.
