Description
LoadRunner 7.51 was installed with the automatic login option. When password changes the loadrunner agent fails to launch.
Solution
Recent versions of LoadRunner 7.5+ offer the option of being able to access load generators without first manually logging in. This option assumes login and password will not change. If the password changes the LoadRunner agent fails to launch and the generator will not connect to the controller.
One way to solve this problem is to change the service status to manual rather than automatic. For Win NT:
1. Access the control panel and select services
2. Scroll to the service named "LoadRunner Agent Service".
3. Change status from Automatic to Manual
4. Exit services and Control Panel
5. Use Windows Explorer to navigate to LoadRunner\launch_service\bin
6. Create a shortcut to magentproc.exe and move it to the startup folder for all users.
7. Reboot |
