Job Title: Associate Localization QA Engineer
Position Number: 3
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform Localization, Internationalization and functional testing on McAfee products.
• Implement test plans; conduct software testing based on prepared test cases.
• Prepare testing environment, setup testing infrastructure.
• Review localized software documentation.
• Take screenshots as requested for manuals.
• Track test status to agreed standards and project procedures.
• Provide accurate and detailed information for defects and maintain defects up to date:
• Assist developer in reproduction and analysis of defects
• Prompt and accurate regression on fixed defects
• Escalate defects to the QA lead or QA Manager
• Developing and building relationships with Cork office and other Core QA team to share and transfer knowledge and ideas.
• Attend regular QA meetings for the projects involved.
SKILLS and EXPERIENCE:
Experience Required:
• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science.
• Strong understanding of Windows operating systems, client/server environment and network security knowledge
• Understanding of defect tracking and management
• Understanding of product lifecycles
• Understanding of Unix, Linux knowledge
• Experience with regression, integration and system level test execution
• Identifying localizability and Globalization issues
• Team player.
• Good level of written and verbal English is essential.CET 6 is compulsory
• Must be self-motivated to succeed within the QA Team. Analytical, methodical, with highly developed attention for detail, willing to learn and a strong sense of responsibility are the words that correspond to the sought person.
Experience Desired:
• Understanding of Automation Test Tools like Silk, Rational Robot
• Understanding of scripting languages.
• Fluency in Korean is desirable
• Knowledge of Japanese is recommended
